It’s clearly the drive side, rear dropout from a Specialized full suspension bike.

It’s a replaceable drop out, from the drive side of a full suspension bike.

Looks very much like the drive side drop out off of a 2010-2011 ish Tranisition Double. Transition sold some of the drop out as “bottle openers” for a $1 on their website a while ago.

Looks like it would do a good job opening bottles, so I’m gonna say its a bottle opener

It’s clearly a late-90s Campagnolo bar-end derailleur hanger, from an ill-fated attempt to make the world’s first gravel racing bike.

It’s a drop out, drive side, but seem to be an insert for a Carbon frame… to be molded in the chainstay and clamped with a bolt on the seatstay.

looks like a generic drive side dropout from the TBG book (Taiwan Bike Guide). Can be ordered and used by frame makers who don’t have the resources to develop their own forged parts.

no it’s not Specialized…look at that pivot location.

campy suspension seatpost linkage. from their 1917 super roubaix line. maurice garin used these later in his career for all the cobbled classics.

John FTW. Have a few of those and they suck as bottle openers

@ J,

Yup. John nailed it. To get them to work better as a bottle opener, you have a to grind in a lip to make them work well.

Bottle opener from Transition.

I can confirm, it doesn’t work for sh*t.

They didn’t charge me for mine though lol

The trick here is there is no sense of scale. This is a rare prototype Campy saddle. You can clearly see on the left side of the pic how it mounts to a vintage campy seat post.
