Allaire has been a local hot spot this winter, as it has been one of the few non-snow covered spots in the state. It’s fast, flowy trails attract riders from a long way off. The local trial builders from JORBA have done wonders in this park.

Wow, that brings back memories of my old stomping ground. I used to call that section pictured the luge run. It was definitely a nice fast course for a roadie like me. I especially enjoyed some nighttime rides there with a group in the fall.

This was my first time at Allaire, having spent the winter riding snowy trails in my hometown, Philadelphia or the twisty flats at Batsto/Wharton St Forest. The flowing, snow-free trails at Allaire were a nice break, especially having some elevation to climb. Even if the JORBA trails have a tendency to be over-groomed to the point of sterility, I had a fun time.
