Photos submitted by Guido from the Netherlands, “I just came back from a trip through Kenya for a charity event for AMREF Flying Doctors called Kenya Classic 2013. It was a 6 day trip travelling 400km’s through red dirt around National park Amboseli. Every participant had to raise 5000 Euro for AMREF and we visited a lot of projects to see what happens with the money. However I also had a lot of contact with the local Maasai community and they loved my bike. Riding my Jones was perfect for these kind of conditions! The pictures explain everything!”

We always love to see your photos and would like to show them to the world here on the Pic Of The Day. Send in your photo with a brief description here.

Good for him. I’d be too chickensh!t to ride in West Africa. Life is cheap there.

Nah, it’s not so bad safety-wise. I’d be concerned during election times and in the big cities like Nairobi, but not so much elsewhere. Kenyans are generally really nice people.

Nah, Kenya is in East Africa and the riding is great. Lot’s of good multi-stage events like the Rift Valley Odyssey and 10to4, and there are road races and a lot of talented riders like Chris Froome. Check out Safarisimbaz.com, or Kenyanriders.com or Kenyacycling.com.
