Selle San Marco’s Aspide saddle has long been a lightweight wonder saddle, getting spec on top end bikes from numerous brands over the years. But 130g saddles have proliferated (well, as much as something that light can), so they’ve upped the game a little with a production saddle that tips the scales at just 105g.

The new Aspide Superleggera has an actual claimed weight of 109g, but this one came in a bit lighter. They say it’s the “lightest comfortable saddle” thanks to its layered construction. The shell uses a 40T high mod carbon with UD finish and UD rails, all tuned to absorb vibration and feel good. Then, they place featherweight PEBAX foam on it and cover it with Microfeel fabric…which feels like a microfiber leather type cover.

The rails are actually one piece, forming a loop at the front before being bonded into the shell. Dimensions are 278 x 131 mm.

They guarantee it’ll be 109g or less, and there’s no rider weight limit. All this is yours for €350. Available in black or white.

The new Concor Carbon FX Protek is the mountain bike version of their Concor saddle. It gets the “Protek” protective sections along the wings and tail and has a flatter rear end compared to the classic, rounded Concor road saddle. Weight is just 135g. Dimensions are 278 x 134 mm.

The Era is an all-new entry level saddle that’ll retail for just €55. It has a central relief channel and flat profile from front to back. They’ll offer Normal (135mm wide) and Power (145mm wide) versions, both 277mm long. Available in standard and Protek mountain bike models. Weights range from 265g to 280g.

Last but not least, they have new mountain bike grips. There wasn’t a whole lot of information available on these, but obvious features are two widths, with the thinner being a slide on model and the thicker one having a lock ring on the inside. Presumably light, and my larger hands rather liked the profile of the fat ones.

First one is pretty hot. I like the full length cutout saddles, so good for a forward and low pos on teh bike when you need it. This looks like the Berk saddle prototype a little but with padding.
