By now, you’ve probably had a chance to check out Danny MacAskill’s Imaginate, an incredible video that brings his childhood dreams to life. Now, Red Bull has shown just what went into the making of such an impressive film in Imaginate Episode 5 – Lifting the Lid. From the loop to falling off a tank barrel straight to his back, it definitely wasn’t as easy as Danny makes it look in the final cut.

Epic TV is teaming up with Trials rider Mike Steidley to bring you web series featuring his riding and shows across the globe. We first ran into Mike years ago up at Ray’s Mountain Bike park in Cleveland where he was back flipping his trials bike into the foam pit. Good to see him still pushing it and putting on demonstrations across the US.

The BC Bike Race is in full swing and Connor Macleod brings us a bit of the highlights from Day 5. Check out all of the 2013 videos to get the scoop on this mountain biking epic.

We’re a bit behind on this one, but still is certainly worth a post. Avid Chasing Trail focuses on Kenny Smith as he flows and jumps his way down his home trails in Whistler, BC. Avid states, “Kenny is particular about how his brakes perform. He has to be. To pull this off, it takes trust—in himself and in his equipment. When he’s teetering on the edge of a cliff and getting ready to drop a new line, he knows exactly how his Avid brakes will perform. Powerful, smooth, trustworthy.”

Fabien Barel’s Season 2 Episode 2 is here, with some wet, rocky riding in Scotland.

From Mavic:

There’s something primal about riding remote, rocky, rainy terrain, and this is the setting for episode 2 of Fabien Barel Presents. He has journeyed to Scotland to find Joe Barnes for an experience in this harsh setting. Scotsmen must be hard and strong to survive, and it’s the same for MTB riding in that area, as we discover with Fab and Joe.

Finally, we have Dex Files S2 E3 – Gulf Islands from Fault Line TV.

From Fault Line:

For episode 3, we decided to travel back to our home and finally try out a few area’s we’ve had our eyes on for half a decade. We’ve taken the ferry from Victoria to Salt Spring Island what seems like a million times, and each of those times we can’t help but notice the bluffs on Saturna Island.

Unfortunately for BC Ferries, their schedule was lacking, so we chartered a boat from Salt Spring to Saturna. I’d never seen the Gulf Islands from this vantage point. Even growing up on Salt Spring I’d never really appreciated the scope of the islands.

Once unloaded from our boat we set off up the mountain and quickly realized the hike was not a walk in the park. After 2 long hours we ended up at our destination. Despite being incredibly worn out, we started shooting after a quick visit with the wild goats.
Not only were the views spectacular, but the riding was worth every second. Singletrack cliff edge trails are rather disconcerting, but these invited to you to go fast.

Salt Spring Island was another leg of the trip for us. Its close to all of us as its where we grew up, we knew we couldn’t visit the Gulf Islands without a stop here. Although we only scratched the surface in this episode, I would recommend a weekend on Salt Spring to anyone. Camp in Ruckle Park on the south end of the island and bring your XC or all-mountain bike along for some guaranteed good times.
