Deity Components has some very pretty new colorful parts on the horizon. Today they teased us with some seductive close ups of their new Skyscraper pedals, which they claim are the thinnest they’ve ever produced. Their current decoys, a personal favorite, are already storybook thin, ultra light (the magnesium version is claimed at 357 gms), and priced right.

There is also a new stem in the works and possibly a few more goodies yet to be released.  Full details available March 13th!

I’m hoping someone can enlighten me as to why there is this pursuit of super thin pedals? I ask this, as going from a 2cm thick pedal body to a 1cm thick pedal body is the same as dropping the bottom bracket 5mm, geometry wise. There’s got to be something that I’m missing.
