Just when you thought you’d seen it all…

Martyn Ashton takes the £10k carbon road bike used by Team Sky’s Bradley Wiggins & Mark Cavendish for a ride with a difference. With a plan to push the limits of road biking as far as his lycra legs would dare, Martyn looked to get his ultimate ride out of the awesome Pinarello Dogma 2. This bike won the 2012 Tour de France – surely it deserves a Road Bike Party!

Shot in various locations around the UK and featuring music from ‘Sound of Guns’. Road Bike Party captures some of the toughest stunts ever pulled on a carbon road bike.

of all the abuse that bike endured, the absolute worst was the WD40 treatment at the end. Great vid tho.

You would think that WD-40 could afford good music.

This left me smiling from beginning to end! After watching this, people should realize how completely unnecessary disc brakes are on a road bike…

By that logic this video demonstrates clipless pedals, cycling shoes & trials bikes aren’t either.

To all the luddites who don’t want disc brakes on their road bikes..DON’T BUY THEM. The rest of us who have ridden them on mountain bikes can’t believe it has taken so long. If you believe that braking technology can’t be improved further…cool…I’m sure some thought derailleurs were unnecessary too.

Yes a great display of trials riding on a road bike, I also had a smile from start to finish. And yes the new WD-40 bike specific range was used.

cheers

Pete

Most folks may not consider it “road riding”, but come ride with me, I’ll show you why discs on a road bike are desirable.

And the TDF riders complain about cobblestones

bk – you do not have a clue. Trials riding brake usage has nothing in common with a long descend in wet weather.

When he rides through a ford with cows/horses in the back ground that’s Balmer lawn in the New Forest, stunning scenery like no other place.
Is that Torquay or Bournemouth when he’s at the sea side?

Riding over the bridge is Bristol. Ride past it often, crazy!

Great video, the train bridge was sick!
Does anyone really think they were standard road pads on those brakes? really? Martyn is bad ass but that bike had mods.
That looked like regular old WD40 to me! The bike line of products looks totally different.

Awesome vid… Though this is exactly why I refrain from buying “gently used” carbon road bikes off eBay…
