Prototype 2013 Whisky Parts Co carbon five rigid 29er fork with 15mm thru axle

Whisky’s No.9 carbon rigid 29er fork with 15mm thru axle is coming. Specs aren’t final, but it’ll have removable threaded axle inserts, brake cable routing through the fork leg and massive clearance. This prototype shows the gargantuan crown and legs -it’s massive- that are designed to flow with the Foundry carbon hardtail 29er mountain bike. Graphics and spec should be finalized soon.

This one and the recently announced thru axle road fork have just passed testing. The cyclocross one is being run through it now. All should be available in March.

New clothing line takes their no nonsense approach to apparel. There are no neon colors or team logos, just functional stuff that’s priced well.

Pieces will fall in at the 3- and 5 levels (9 is the top) and prices will range from $40 to $90. They’ll have lined baggies and mountain bike jerseys as well as road shorts and jerseys for both men and women.

In their words, “it’s not a euro fit, it’s not a Spongebob fit.”

Women’s jerseys won’t have any elastic bands at the waist to keep them from bunching and creating bulges. Shirts have a yoga waist band that “won’t create a muffin top” appearance.

The baggies use a super lightweight material with zipper vent pockets, flat waist band with snaps and zip fly with adjustment straps on the sides.

That little set screw is either going to strip or fall out.
