Don’t forget to visit Bikerumor’s Facebook page to enter to WIN a pair of limited edition LAKE CX 401 shoes from Stage-Race Distribution or to vote for your favorite entrie(s).  Someone’s gonna win on Monday- shouldn’t it be you?  Hit the jump for the full details…

Stage Race Distribution, who are now handling Lake shoe distribution for the US and Canada, have been playing around with some of the company’s color schemes to show off Lake’s Custom CX 401 program and are giving you a chance to win the result!  In stealth black or blinding white, Lake has built only 50 pair of limited edition CX 401s.  Sharing the same heat moldable carbon fiber soles, kangaroo leather uppers, and BOA closure with the standard CX 401, these handsome shoes are available now to US and Canadian consumers.

Of course, if you don’t win, the 49 remaining limited edition CX 401s (sizes 42-47) are available from Stage Race at info@stage-race.com for $525–only $26 more than the standard edition–and ship free to the US via FedEx.  Want to see the entire Lake line or fondle the Limited Edition CX 401s yourself?  Swing on by booth 4091 during Interbike next week.

Hop on over to Bikerumor’s Facebook page and, below the “WIN!  A pair of limited edition LAKE CX 401 shoes” post tell us in fifteen words or less why the black or white shoes are cooler than the white or black version.  The post with the most Likes on Monday, September 17 will win a pair in the size and color of their choice (subject to availability- if desired color/size is unavailable, a standard CX 401 and a custom shoe bag will be substituted).  Of course, the earlier you post your entry, the more people will see it and the more Likes it can accrue – so don’t wait!

Damn, those are some ugly shoes! Can’t really say that if I signed up that I would be stoked to win.

They are hideous, but finally someone is putting some decent side protection on a mountain shoe. Thats where they take the most abuse in my rocky terrain.
