After more than two years in development under riders like Geoff Gulevich, Jordie Lunn, Jarrett Moore, and Wink Grant, Rocky Mountain is finally ready to throw the Slayer Slopestyle into production.

The frame is heavily hydroformed with a massive, triangular downtube the meets up with the top tube to form a hefty box section. Where many full suspension DJ/Slopestyle bike get a simpler single pivot design, Rocky Mountain put their Smoothlink suspension design for a more sophisticated ride. The design claims to be pedal neutral (i.e. no pedal feedback and minimal bob under hard pedaling), a good idea on a bike that might see a lot of sprints out of the gate.

A complete bike will be offered for $2,699, and as a frameset with price TBD.

The rear has 100mm of firm suspension, tuned to perform for anything from slopestyle to dirt jump to freeride…you can even throw a dropper post on it. The long top tube gives you room to whip your extra wide handlebars around without wacking the seatpost or saddle.

The downtube even has water bottle bosses, a request from their factory riders so they could mount their rear shifter (on a single-ring front setup) on the frame. This lets them spin the bar freely without crossing cables.

Might want to mention the purpose of water bottle bosses: shifter mounts.
