custom chrome salvage program

  • In honor of Memorial Day, Chrome is launching a Custom Military Salvage Program for military personnel and their families. If they bring in their military duffles or fatigues to one of Chrome’s four HUBs: SF, NY, Chicago, or Portland, they’ll use the material to create a custom Citizen Messenger bag. The program was inspired by US Army Vehicle Commander Jared Morford of Watertown, South Dakota who reached out to Chrome to make a Custom Salvage bag with the duffle he carried to Iraq. The final product is pictured above. More pics of the process after the break.
  • Despite having their bikes stolen – then found, Team TIBCO made an amazing recovery at the Exergy Tour and placed Tara Whitten in the yellow jersey for Thursday’s Prologue.

Chrome did an incredible job of transforming my duffle bag while deployed in iraq into a function messenger bag. I can’t explain how much it means to me. Thanks Chrome and BikeRumor.
