The Bike Snob is back in bookstores with a fresh book about commuting and the indignities we face as cyclists when drivers and pedestrians alike tend to think we’re evil incarnate.

That’s a bit harsh, perhaps, I’ve actually noticed some local drivers being a bit more aware and courteous lately here in Greensboro, but it’ll likely make for some amusing reading while poking fun at us in his usual subtle-yet-obvious manner.

From Chronicle Books:

The joys of commuting by bike attract scores of new converts every year. But as fresh-faced cyclists fill the roads, they also encounter their share of frustrations—careless drivers, wide-flung car doors, zoned-out pedestrians, and aggressive fellow cyclists, to name a few. In this follow-up to the best-selling Bike Snob, BikeSnobNYC takes on the trials and triumphs of bike commuting with snark, humor, and enthusiasm, asking the question: If we become better commuters, will that make us better people? From the deadly sins of biking to tactics for dealing with cars, pedestrians, and other cyclists, this primer on bike travel is a must-read for cyclists new and seasoned alike.

Retail is $16.95 or find it on Amazon for $11.53 or Kindle for $10.21.

Just another hipster with a blog. What is the big deal about this guy anyway?

Dudes can’t respect a man who starts off the video pretending to wake up in a chicken suit? Can’t begin to not believe that.

I have read a few of the dude’s entries that was basically on amateur cyclists starting to race. He is smug and has that elitist attitude like he somehow gets the big picture of cycling. He should stop writing about it and actually go out and get on his bike.

Playa hater-“Hipster” is a lazy way to discredit something.

ESL-He rides quite a bit. A lot of the blog is written tongue in cheek.

The dude is hilarious. And not you at 5:23. He’s been putting out content for almost 4 years now, does ride plenty and sees the big picture through a critical but realistic lens of poking fun at this world from our two wheeled perspective.
