Bespoked Bristol Best In Show Mather

The results are now in for the UK Handmade Bicycle Show that took place on March 23rd-25th in Bristol, UK. In its second year, vendors and builders worldwide showed up in addition to local builders.

The above ‘Camponneur’ is the winner for both best in show & public vote – created by Bristol-based Robin Mather and sponsored by Reynolds. Best New Builder – Wilkinson Cycles

“Mixed Gear” by Wilkinson Cycles, sponsored by Columbus and Ceeway, was awarded Best New Builder. Taking influence from his three years as a London bike courier, Matt Wilkinson created the “Mixed Gear” with a dual-feature rear dropout that allows for a choice between gears or singlespeed/track setup.

Bespoked Bristol Best Touring Winter Bicycles Eric EstlundRoberts Cycles and Oregon-Based Winter Bicycles split the vote in the Touring/Randonneur category with the “Ruff Stuff” and “the Wanderer”. Ruff Stuff came equipped for an all-out tour while the Wanderer had a different approach, boasting a classic-inspired internally wired lugged frame.

Sponsored by Brooks, Mercian won the category of Best Utility Bike with “Jane’s Bike”. Established in Derby, UK in 1946, Mercian continues fantastic frame building with “Jane’s Bike”, a lugged frame conceived as an around-towner by the owner of Mercian, Jane Mosley.

Best Off Road – Crisp Titanium

Bespoked Bristol Best Off Road Crisp Titanium CloseBased in Italy, Crisp Titanium won the Best Off Road with the Crisp “Il Capo” sponsored by Hope.
