2012 storck rebel nine 29er carbon fiber mountain bike

Storck’s new Rebel Nine is their first 29er, and it’ll be ready in July or August as a frame only. Price is TBD. Their rep said they spent a lot of time on the geometry because they wanted to make it handle like their 26″ bikes. Check out weights and features after the break…

Built up with XTR 2×10, Crank Bros wheels and pedals, Schwalbe tires and a Fox fork (plus water bottle and cage), it tips the scales at just a hair over 23lbs.

Rear brake is inside the frame to help protect it during a wreck.

Direct mount front derailleur lets the rear wheel tuck up closer to the seat tube.

Meh. It doesn’t really look that cool or have any real advantages over other bikes. Plus it is more expensive. I’d rather wait and get the that FS scalpel 29 that weighs less, has more performance, and probably even costs less.

@MorganJ…. I don’t know where your based, but in Europe this frame is quite cheap, much less than a scapel 29″….and Storck Frames have one great advantage, their strength and stiffness
