Orange Bikes is releasing a limited edition version of its Five Pro. How limited? Twenty bikes, that’s how limited. This very limited edition is called the “Blackout” because it’s…totally blacked out. No funky colors or mismatched swingarms on this guy. The Five Pro Blackout is adorned with special edition Hope Tech X2’s (there is an option to upgrade to the Hope Tech M4 SE’s). Both versions of the brakes are black anodized with green highlights (photos after the break).

The Orange Bikes Limited Edition Five Pro Blackout “stays true to its roots as a low-slung, fast handling trail bike which can play gently in the Dales or storm a black run.” I don’t know what the Dales are like and I have no freaking clue what a “black run” is, but the Dales do sound kinda wussy and lame and a black run sounds totally bad-ass and awesome. So I guess the bike can handle a range of situations.

Black floating rotors.

Hope rear QR skewer.

“Sponsorship green” highlights on the Hope Tech X2’s.

The bikes are going for roughly $4,843.08…roughly. Check out Orange Bikes site for more information.

Have to say nice looking bike, the white forks miss out on making it a cool stealth bike should’ve been black!

ThomP “play gently in the Dales” NOT A CHANCE! that Orange 5 certainly wouldn’t play gently in this Yorkshire Dales, England. In our hands it would get properly tested on proper riding not wuzzy black runs! Here in the Yorkshire Dales we don’t have black runs or blue or red or pink or whatever colour is in vogue at trail centres (man-made trails at forest play park). The Yorkshire Dales has over 900kms of wilderness backcountry trails that can’t miss putting a smile on every discerning mountain bikers face. You need to come and visit us to mountain bike some proper bad ass! Dales style….

The Bike would look sick with black forks, I always have a soft spot for Orange….

I have to agree with StuPrice, The dales rock, I live in Halifax, 2 minutes ride for Orange and its one of the best places to ride……

You guys should take up the offer, no trail centres just hills, hills and hills….
