Team Garmin- Cervélo has unveiled its 2011 kit and it is, in an entirely made up word, blackerer. Garmin’s orange has been driven out of the design and their trademark argyle has been pushed to the fringes of the kit, only appearing on the collar and the left cuffs of the short and jersey.

The kit is made by Italian clothing manufacturer Castelli, maker of Cervélo’s 2010 kit. Garmin-Transitions 2010 kit was made by Pearl Izumi. The relationship between the two parties fell apart after PI sued Garmin over intellectual property infringement related to winged skinsuits.

It’s a shame they don’t do more with their Garmin connection, they’d have the best shortcuts.

Interesting to see New Balance there too.

Sad to see the argyle almost completely gone, and no orange. The kit looks too cervelo. On the positive side, it’ll save me money – I have no interest in getting a wannabe kit.
