This new dry bag from Topeak is specifically designed to work with iphones. It is comprised of shock protective molded foam and it uses dry bag technology to keep your phone from getting destroyed on wet rides. The TPU touch window allows a clear view of the phone’s screen and access to its functions. There are two options for mounting the iphone Dry Bag to your bike: the QuickClick™ system or an optional stem cap mount. Either way you mount it, the phone will be easily accessible, whether it’s on your bar, stem, or top tube. The QuickClick™ also enables removal of the dry bag when it’s not in use. This item can be used for other, similarly sized devices like the ipod Touch and some GPS units.

I bought and tried this one on my road bike today. Went back to the store and returned it after 10 minutes.

The plastic clamp is made of fragile plastic and will break soon if you try to move it between bikes/positions. It also has a plastic screw for fastening which deforms and render the whole thing useless if you ever want to move it.

The QuickClick is flimsy and feels like it wont hold my $800 iPhone 4 for long. And this on a road bike, I wouldn’t even want to try it on a mtb. As seen in the backside picture the QuickClick is stitched on the pouch and these stitches move around a bit. When assembled, the whole thing builds pretty high which they intentionally are trying to hide in the pictures.

The TPU touch window works somewhat but is a bit small to allow big swipe gestures (like on a google maps).
The big problem with the plastic windows is that it reflects so much sunlight you can hardly see anything on screen. It is also a bit wavy which creates weird patterns when pressed against the screen.

I do not recommend this product at all, waste of money. Be sure to keep your receipt if trying it!
