Press Release: The Gran Fondo Greensboro is a premiere cycling event that will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2010 as part of the Festival Italiano in downtown Greensboro, NC.

Registration and Check-In For All Rides Opens at 7:00AM. Registration will take place in the parking lot across from the Green Bean.

Four Ride Length Choices:
• NEW! 102 Mile (Full Century) ride departs at 8:30AM
• 62 Mile (Metric Century) ride departs at 8:30AM.
• 30 Mile ride departs at 9:00AM.
• 15 Mile ride departs at 10:00AM.

All rides start and finish at the General Greene Roundabout at the intersection of S. Greene Street and W. McGee Street.

This is an exciting, fun and challenging bicycle ride in the tradition of the great Italian cyclists – translated, it generally means “long distance” or “great endurance,” but to many, it means “the big ride.”

This classic ride is part of Festival Italiano (an event festival produced by 3 dog productions). The other mastermind behind the planning of this classic event is Greensboro’s own Dale Brown, owner of Cycles De Oro Bike Shop. Thanks to the 3 dog productions team and Dale, this classic cycling event will be fully supported with:
