Consumer grade component manufacturer SR Suntour made their jump into the ever-expanding E-Bike market at Bike Expo in Munich, Germany, unveiling their Human Electro Synergy Components (HESC) groupset.

The HESC system uses a motor built into the front hub, using a specially designed 63mm travel front fork, with reinforced dropouts to dampen vibrations from the motor. The system will be available with two battery options, with 8.0 Ah or 9.0 Ah Li-Ion offerings for the system. Charge time is 2.5 hours, with at least 500 charge cycles before the battery begins losing capacity.

SR Suntour’s HESC group also uses an incredibly simple to operate computer interface, with a removable handlebar mounted control computer. The company says ease of use is key, claiming that the bike can be operated with just two simple buttons on the large LED screen. The removable computer also acts as a theft deterrent, locking the wheels and cranks when the computer is removed.
