(Update 8/2/10: Descriptions added to pictures)

In the words of Gary Medley, “Wild, wild, wild!”. Gary had the privilege of riding in the Team Liquigas car from Wettingen to Frutigen of the 2010 Tour de Suisse this past June.

In this picture says Gary, “Rainy day forced riders to visit and revisit the team car to exchange gear.  Driving the car is Director Sportif Alberto Volpi, himself a veteran of 3 TdFs during his racing days in the late 1980s-1990s.  (Can’t identify the rider)”

Check out more of his photos after the break.

“Inside the Liquigas team car.  Note race profile on steering wheel.  Black microphone on left communicates with team riders.  White microphone on right talks to other team car.  An unseen speaker broadcasts the official ‘race radio’ feed.  The in-dash TV popped out with 60km to go, when the race video feed went live.  All the while, driver/director of sportif Volpi is driving, talking on one cell phone and texting on another.”
