Look Keo Blade Aero Carbon Fiber Time Trial Pedal Makes TT’s Less of a Drag

Look is coming out with a carbon fiber bodied version of its Keo pedal called the Blade Aero. It has their carbon blade retention spring with a smooth, aerodynamic bottom side that Look claims improves aerodynamics by 2%. Weight is only increased over the standard Keo Carbon Blade by 5g, yet it’s stiffer for better power transfer.

Look tested the pedal in the wind tunnel at the Formula 1 Magny-Cours Racetrack in Nevers, France, then threw them on Alberto Contador’s bike during the prologue and final time trial at this year’s Tour de France.
