INTERBIKE 2009 – Nothing new with their bikes this year, but Brompton had two new bags on display and a redesign of one of their popular models.

Shown above is the forthcoming “A” bag (for Attaché), a very expensive, very nice leather briefcase-style messenger.  Featuring internal dividers more suited to business use than commuting, it would probably work for those Ivy League kids and professionals alike.

More pics of this and their new “O” messenger bag that’s waterproof and doubles as a front rack bag and their redesigned “S” bag with replaceable artsy front flaps, after the jump…

The “A” comes with a shoulder strap with padding that matches the lining of the bag.  The bag is made in Spain and should be available in January.  Price TBD.

The “O” bag is a new model and features a rainproof construction.  The top flap folds over with wide wings, and the rear pockets fold down like dry bags to keep smaller items safe and easily accessible.

The final production version will have slightly revised rear pockets to make them easier to fold.

The “O” bag will fit front bicycle rack mounts, letting it serve double duty as a messenger and a touring bag.

The “S” bag gets updated with a new removable/replaceable front flap.

It has small rear panel zipper pockets, and it offers a low profile front rack bag that works with Brompton’s S-Type folding bicycle.

Internal pockets, side mesh pockets and a big zippered sleeve help keep things organized.

Is the rear of the ‘A’ Brompton luggage block compatible?

I wonder if the ‘O’ is a mental link to Ortlieb.
