INTERBIKE 2009 – San Marco had two new saddles, the Regale Carbon FX and Regale Racing Team.  Both are based on their classic Regal seat but updated with the latest technology and styling.

The Racing Team (shown above) uses Ti Rails to come in around 220g (278 x 148mm) and is the more stylish of the two (in our opinion).

It also comes in a less graphicky version if you’re trying to go incognito.

The Regal Carbon FX is the real lightweight star at 179g for the carbon-railed version.  There’s also a TiNox rail model at 200g.  They cost $300 and $200, respectively.

Mmmmmm….carbon.

In other news, which I forgot to get a photo of, the “Limited Edition” colored Regal Classic saddles are no longer limited, they’re available in normal stock, and they can also be ordered with color-matching bar tape.  They’re not light, but darn if they don’t look good!

Lastly, San Marco is rolling out a retailer demo program just like WTB and others have been doing.  If you’re interesting in trying out one of their saddles, have your favorite bike shop contact the distributor.
