Gruppo Bici N.A., out of Boulder, CO, has announced a collection of designer bags for bicycles under the Canditalia brand (roughly translated as “Italian Bicycle Candy”). Their collection includes the B-Berry (Burberry), Doppio G (Gucci) and Louie V (Luis Vuitton) vinyl choices.

Interesting to note that the vinyl fabrics are not knock-offs, but as company spokeswoman D’Abria Versace states, “The designer vinyls are remnants, not considered first-quality or replica…instead of ending up in a landfill as waste, we are able to upcycle vinyls that do not meet the stringent requirements of the designer. Though the materials are two- to three-times the cost of non-designer vinyls, we consider the scenario a win-win.” They do, however, have a disclaimer that their bags are in no way genuine or replica Burberry, Gucci, or Louis Vuitton brand bags.  Just made out of the same stuff, I guess. Hmmm.
