William Frederick Hayden Park on Green Mountain is the second largest park in Lakewood with more than 2400 acres of space. The summit, at 6,800 feet, offers unique and stunning views of the Denver metropolitan area to the east as well as high mountain peaks to the west.

Park Rangers are hoping the volunteer mountain bike patrol will help cover the challenging network of multi-use trails available to park visitors.  Volunteers will ride through to offer assistance, directions, first aid and answer questions.

Park rangers will provide volunteers with all related training and will supply a uniform jersey and first aid supplies. Volunteers will also receive a complimentary annual pass to Bear Creek Lake Park. For more information, call 303-697-6154 or visit them online at www.Lakewood.org. (photo from Lakewood’s website)
