Chub hubs, from The Hive, are the biggest hubs I’ve ever seen.  They’re bigger than the SRM power meter hubs by a good bit.  Why?  To offer a stiffer wheel with less deflection and better response.
Even with the girth, they’re fairly light.  The shell is carbon fiber, and that’s bonded to aluminum flanges.  The Track / Fixie hubs above use hollow Titanium bolts and hollow Aluminum axle.  MSRP is $225 rear / $105 front.
They’ve also got some Single Speed, Dirt Jump, Freeride/AM and XC hubs.  Hit “more” to see them all…
The Single Speed mountain bike hub (silver) uses a normal axle and MSRP’s for $225 R / $180 F.  The black model is their Dirt Jump / Free Ride hub that’s made to accommodate either a 15mm or 20mm axle on the front.  ($225 R / $196 F)
For those of us who like our knees gears, they have two prototypes in the pipeline, which we’re proud to be the first to show you.  The XC model (left) is designed around a normal front skewer, but the All Mountain / Freeride model (right) works with the larger axles.  They have easy adapters to switch between 15mm and 20mm.
Like any respectable component company, they had T-shirts available. It’s a shame Valentine’s Day has passed ’cause theirs would make the perfect gift:
This bike has a Chub.
