Charlie Crist, Florida’s very tan Governor, is recognizing March as Florida Bicycle Month and using it to call attention to the state’s numerous trails.  Did you know American Trails recently named Florida as the “Best Trails State in America?”  Neither did I.
As a Florida native myself, I can attest to the quality if not quantity of mountain bike trails in the state, largely thanks to abandoned limestone quarries that offer the only elevation outside of Space Mountain at Disney (which, technically, I think is the third tallest “mountain” in Florida).
