Red Bull Rampage Returns

After raising the bar for free-ride / downhill events from 2001 to 2004, the Red Bull Rampage took a hiatus as events like Crankworx filled the gap. Now, the Rampage is back and bigger than ever as “The Evolution”, starting October 2-5 in Virgin, UT.

They’ve upped the ante by creating a bigger course, this time with man-made elements and steeper sections.  Competitors will be judged on style, amplitude, fluidity, and difficulty of line in an effort to take home the $25,000 prize and bragging rights.

Riders will have free reign to get from point A to point B (which happens to lie about 1,000 vertical feet lower than point A) in a path of their choosing along the ridges near Zion National Park. Scheduled riders should include Cedric Gracia, Kyle Strait, Gee Atherton and Tyler Klassen, but no official rider list has been released yet.
