First shown at NAHBS earlier this year, Tom Ritchey’s Heritage Paint options hit their website on June 1. To bring back the classic livery, they tapped Rick Stefani of D&D Cycles, the man Tom entrusted to spray the original paint schemes. Now, you can pick from four different custom colorways on any of their steel bike frames, like the Team RWB on the P29er mountain bike shown above. Check out the video and images below…

The team Red White and Blue may be the most easily recognized, but they’re also offering Commando Camo, Urban Camo and Sunset Fade. Check out the landing page for the story behind each paint design. The custom paint adds $450 to any of the bikes, which includes color matching the fork on road and cyclocross framesets.

I’m going to go out on a limb and say Ritchey is my favorite company in the bike industry. They’ve kept their vibe as a small niche brand run by a quirky o.g. steel-loving hippy who lives in a cabin in the hills while simultaneously developing a lot of good high-end stuff over the years. I mean, where else can you still get a 1″ threaded headset and deep carbon disc clinchers with the same name written on the side?!

Hey Tyler, just for ammo if anyone ever tells you this site doesn’t drive sales: I just went to the Ritchey site from the link, got distracted by other mountain bike frames, and am buying the Ritchey Commando frameset on sale (half off!). You’re welcome.
