  • Berlin Bicycle Week starts next Monday – Berlin continues to establish itself as the international bicycle metropolis with numerous events, bicycle races, and workshops as Berlin Bicycle Week brings together all types of cyclists from Mar 14-20. More than 60 events for all audiences are scheduled, always with a focus on the bicycle as part of a healthy and social lifestyle. The week ends with the Berliner Fahrradschau (Berlin Bike Show) kicking off on Friday night where we will be checking out the newest urban bikes and lifestyle gear.   • 2016 RAAM Challenge Series schedule released – 4 cities make this year’s cut. For the last 5 years, the events have grown in popularity and continue to test individual and team endurance on both the 200 and 400-mile race courses. Each event reflects the unique characteristics of the region, with scenic courses and local culture. The RAAM Challenge Series 400-mile course is a RAAM qualifier for the epic 3,000-mile bike race from Oceanside, CA to Annapolis, MD in June. Both the 200 and 400-mile course options are available to race with or without support crew. RAAMChallenge.com The calendar includes:

  • The fixed gear Fyxation Open crits return in 2016 as 4 race series – This year’s criterium race series includes events in Illinois and Wisconsin for men’s and women’s riders with equal prize money going to each field. This will be the largest fixed gear-only street race in the Midwest, and events will coincide with the Tour of America’s Dairyland (TOAD) in Milwaukee and the popular Prairie State Cycling Series Intelligentsia Cup in the Chicagoland area, at the end of June and July, respectively.
