Log Lady

Just days before we set off for the trip up north to check out what’s new at QBP for Frostbike, product announcements are already rolling in. While you’ll have to wait for the detailed reveal, All-City just posted this little teaser of their newest creation. Called the Log Lady, the name pays homage to Catherine Coulson’s character on Twin Peaks. If you’re not familiar with that show, don’t worry, the bike’s design looks quite worthy of your attention…

While details are still pretty short, here’s what we know – according to our own Anna Schwinn, who designed/engineered the frame, fork, and dropouts during her time at All-City, the Log Lady “is a nuanced, and clever 27.5″, 100mm suspension corrected SS shredder.”  From the video, we know that it uses their new A.C.E. tubing, Turbo Aggressive Geometry. a 5 piece segmented [suspension corrected] fork, and signature single speed dropouts which come from the Nature Boy Disc.

We’ll have more from Minneapolis.

Wow that looks seriously cool

My word, is that a “Twin Peaks” reference? The fact that the show is supposed to be coming back certainly got some fresh buzz, but you have to be a serious fan to name a bike after a character…cool.

Look at the background of the picture, that’s the RedRoom, of course it’s a Twin Peaks reference.

sorry, tired of “suspension corrected” frames. Have them and hate them. Gimmie low as it can go. Enough with the risk management B.S. I want George Kostanza, “do the opposite” and watch amazing things happen.

Sounds like the JYD they did a couple years ago would’ve been your ride.

A Disc JYD would have been awesome. I wonder how much that fork weighs? I’m guessing this will be 27.5+ so I bet a 29er will still fit.

“27.5” and “Suspension corrected”, the two biggest turn-offs in history. Ugh.

I had a really funny chat the other day with a friend of mine about bicycle fashion critics. He said “instead of just reading their comments, word it out as if you were an old woman with a heavy NY accent smoking a cigarette and take an imaginary puff at the breaks”.

Thanks for the chuckle, but you need to get out more.
