Over the years, Transition has had a few popular slopestyle models with names like the BottleRocket and most recently the Double. But with the lack of any full suspension short travel DJ bikes in their line up recently, you could probably guess Transition was up to something. Now that void is being filled with their newest creation – the Triple. Picking up where the Double left off, the Triple will launch you over that next set with the confidence of the new “26” Regular Wheelsize…”

Obviously a bit tongue in cheek, the Triple rolls on 26″ wheels which can be slammed into the 390mm chainstays with adjustable dropouts.

Spaced at 135mm with a 10mm axle, the adjustable dropouts combine with a concentric bottom bracket pivot to provide the ability to run single speed without the use of a chain tensioner. The dropouts will also allow you to run gears so you can take advantage of the removable downtube shifter mount. Barspins for days. Or until your brake housing bottoms out. Built out of aluminum, the Triple features a 73mm threaded BB shell, tapered head tube, and ISCG 05 mounts in a 6.2lb frame with a RockShox Monarch R shock.

Transition Triple geometry

Available only in one size, the small frame has an effective top tube of 546mm. Maximum tire clearance is listed at 26 x 2.3″ with a 32t maximum chainring.

In addition to the frame which will be available for $1499 with a Monarch R, Complete builds will be sold for $2599 with a RockShox Pike DJ fork, Monarch R shock, Kore cockpit with Transition Pivotal seat and seatpost, SRAM DB1 brakes front and rear, and a single speed drivetrain with Kinlin wheels and Kenda Small Block 8 tires. Available now in Neon Green or Poppy Red.

@ postophetero – best comment of the week.
This looks like one fun bike to ride for urban assault or anything else for that matter.

Got to love Transition’s marketing. I wish they took it further by hyping 26″ positives, ignoring the negatives, while only mentioning 650b’s negatives.

Maybe toss in a some unsubstantiated claims like 26″ wheels allowed for .2 second faster taiiwhips compared to 650b but you don’t even notice the difference. 26″ feels just like 650b but you will tailwhip faster. You can’t argue with physics.
