Want to get your hands on the very first bicycles to be sold with SRAM Red eTap? Get ready to put a bid on one of five 2016 Specialized Tarmacs on Tuesday, February 16th, and you could ride off with a custom built bike.

The bikes are the Tarmac S-Works, and they’re built with a full Zipp cockpit (carbon bar and post, alloy stem) and Zipp 303 wheels with custom matching logo and World Bicycle Relief decals. A Specialized saddle and tires round out the package.

Proceeds will further WBR’s mission of providing bicycles (275,000+ to date) and training mechanics (1,000+) in rural, developing areas throughout the world. This enables entrepreneurs to better run small businesses to improve their own livelihood and community, students to get to school, patients to get medical care and families to get food, water and supplies more easily.

Trying to come up with a Specialized lawsuit joke, but they’re all taken already.

Did anyone see Stijn Vandenbergh DESTROY on his Tarmac to finish in a solo break? Once he dropped his dead weight break mate (Cipo Bardiani rider), he went on alone like a (deleted) runaway train. He got a plastich bag tangled up on his hub and QR and that thing was flapping like crazy. It would drive most men insane, but he powered on for the win. I honestly cried a little, beautiful thing if you follow world tour racing and know how hard this guy works for others on Etixx-QS team.

I often have to comment to read the comments, not always but a good percentage of the time.

I suspect some javascript errors or something else causing the page rendering to go nuts. It happens to me in IE, Chrome, and I think even my iphone and kindle.

Freaking auctions! So elitist… They would always get MORE money with a raffle!

Don’t know how much more money, but definitely a message more in line with the charity they’re supporting. Give more people a chance rather than five with deep pockets.

It is interesting that they are only auctioning 54 and 56 frame sizes… 58 isn’t much of an outlier after all.
