Wanna race Richmond’s UCI Road Race World Championships? How ’bout racing it from the “comfort” of your own torture chamber?

Zwift, which is still in free public beta with versions for both Mac and PC, will let you do just that on select weekends throughout September. So, between checking out all of our Eurobike and Interbike coverage here on Bikerumor (which, ahem, is the best you’ll find – toot, toot!), you can see how you’d handle the pro course.

“What’s not to like about this? For the first time ever, anyone, anywhere, with some pretty basic equipment and an internet connection will be able to test themselves on a 3D version of the course that will be used for the UCI Road World Championships,” said Zwift Co-Founder and CEO Eric Min. “As we approach one year in Beta, this project is the perfect tribute to our global user base. They’ve helped us to create an awesome product and now they can come together in their thousands on the world championship course”

The course will be live on Zwift on the following dates: September 1st to 8th,September 13th to 15th, September 20th to 27th. Click through for more images of the course…

When ever I see screen shots, it reminds me of Grand Theft Auto…Now that would be an interesting hookup, Zwift+GFA

Love how the cobbles are the same size as his wheels in the picture. 🙂
