Originally shown at Taipei as the Warthog, the new (and newly named) Kenda Flintridge Pro gravel tire missed its summer launch goals despite being designed specifically for the Dirty Kanza. It’s tubeless ready and should come in both 60tpi and 120tpi casing options and two widths: The 700x40c (520g) will be joined by a 700x35c (480g), and both will hit 480g and should come in around November.

Unfortunately, the Cholla CX tire is also a bit behind on shipping, but will hopefully be on the water soon and here in time for racing.

The Saber Pro is designed to have the lowest rolling resistance of any XC tire they’ve made and will get a new 29×2.2 size. It was originally shown at the Taipei show, then we got more details on it at Sea Otter earlier this year.

Claimed weights are 470g for 29×2.0, which ships in October, and a 530g target for the 2.2, which is still in testing.

Not specifically shown on anything here, Tubeless Race is a new special shape for their tubeless bead, with the same SCT sidewall material for air retention. Look for it soon on various tires.

The Havok Pro will now be available in a 27.5 x 2.8 and 3.0. They developed the 3.0 first as the whole “plus” movement was starting up, but as spec requirements were more nailed down, they revised the tread slightly for a 2.8. Mix and match with the thinner one on the rear, or just put same size tires on both ends of the bike.

Claimed weights are 950g (3.0) and 800g (2.8) with a 120tpi casing. The 3.0 gets an extra layer of protection under the tread for better puncture protection, hence the drastically different weight. Both are tubeless ready.

The Juggernaut Pro gets updated treads with slightly more knobs and a bridge between them to firm them up and prevent squirming. And in early 2016, a new 26 x 4.8 size join the existing 4.0 and 4.5.

Their ECC (E-Charge Casing) for e-bikes now comes on the Nevegal X Pro and Honey Badger DH Pro.
They get their CAP3 material under the tread, which is usually just found on the sidewalls of their SCT tires, and a stiffer sidewall casing to handle the extra weight of an e-bike.

Why does a 40c tire need to weigh 520 grams?

Is that Flintridge the first 35c tubeless tire?

Kenda deserves allot more business. They have been one of the very faithful amateur xc mtb sponsors over the years.

Are ANY of these shipping yet? Kenda seems to have gotten really good at press releases instead of product releases.

WT%$%^& – Doesn’t Kenda have a clue that they need to take a great tire like their Small Block 8 tire and make the casing bigger in 2.4, 2.5 and 2.8 sizes for trail riders ??? It seems like all that they care about are racer boyz and their no-tread 500 gram tires. 🙁

I’m beginning to think that Kenda just doesn’t care about the trail riding segment of the MTB market and it’s very sad as the Small Block 8 is one excellent desert tire but the width is just too small….

Hmm, none of these tires are shipping to shops in the USA yet.
