Photo submitted by Lee McAuliffe, “This photo was taken at approximately mile 60 along the park road through Denali National Park. Biking the park road is by far the best way to see the park.”

Just don’t let people know you’re from California, or have any association with it.

Looks awesome. Would love to make that ride someday.

If you go and are not a back packer, don’t expect to see much. Denali National Park covers 9,000 square miles and has one 90 mile road. Private cars are not allowed, only government buses. I got the impression after being crammed in a guv’t bus that the Park Service hates people in “their” park.

Dammit. Beat me to it. Riding the road in 2 weeks on a cross bike. Hope the weather on your ride was good more than it was bad. Congrats on the ride. BTW…the prohibition on cars is to keep pollution, litter, etc., out of an ecosystem that is largely devoid of human impact, and that very few drivers would be prepared for a road without services. I agree with keeping private vehicles limited to the first 15 miles of the road.
