Great clothing for inclement weather is something we all take for granted. There was a time where waterproof jackets were as breathable as a plastic tarp and Gore wasn’t yet a household name. Fast forward 30 years and Gore Bike Wear is continuing their quest for high performance clothing that gets cyclists out “into the elements.”

Starting out in 1985 with the Giro jacket, Gore Bike Wear changed the face of cycling gear with the first waterproof, breathable jacket. A lot has changed in the years since, but Gore Bike Wear is still creating technical clothing like their new 30th Anniversary Collection…

Putting it right out in the open, the Gore Element Print and Element Lady jersey ($89.99) spells out the 30th anniversary in the signature colors of black, white, red, and gold. Constructed with a reflective gold details, the jersey has a matching Element Print bib short+ ($99.99) to complete the anniversary kit. Also available in bibs are the new Phantom WS SO Bibtights+ with a matching Phantom 2.0 SO softshell jacket ($199.99). Light years from that original Giro jacket, the Oxygen 2.0 GTX AS jacket ($299) utilizes the Gore-Tex Active membrane for durable waterproofing and the ability to remove moisture quickly from the body. For matching head protection check out the Gore-Tex Active Equipe GTX cycling cap ($45.99). The Anniversary collection will also extend to the Element series with a WS AS Vest ($119.99) with a Windstopper Active shell, as well as the Oxygen WS SO jersey ($159.99) and Oxygen Bibtight Short+ ($179.99) with Windstopper fabric.

All of the new gear is limited in production and available now.

Hope they release a bandana. I get through 30 a day.
There marketing/advertising needs a stages power meter though.

Love my Gore shorts and gore-tex jacket but they were like $80 and $170 AUD, not sure I could handle US299 just to have that little shield over my chest.
It’s been chilly in Sydney lately and that jacket has enabled many cozy wet rides.
