Looking to try something new for your mountain bike? Pacenti Cycle Design wants you to consider their wheels for your next upgrade, and they’re offering one heck of an incentive to do so.

Trade in any Mavic, Easton or Stan’s NoTubes mountain bike wheelset in any condition, and you’ll get 50% off the purchase price of a brand new set of Pacenti mountain bike wheels.

The wheels are assembled using Pacenti’s rims and hubs with Sapim spokes and alloy nipples, all handbuilt, trued and packaged in house. Choose from the TL25 (27.5″ or 29er) or DL31 (26″), and the net price ends up being $300 or less for a brand new wheelset. Details, specs and terms on Pacenti’s website.

Went to their ‘website’, if you can call it that. Almost no specs on the wheelset. For giggles you should click on the link to their ‘tires’. Not even a picture. While I’d be very interested to trade in an older quick release set of stan’s wheels I have laying around, I’m not sure I want to get a new pair of 3000g wheels. (Not that I know they are 3000 grams per set, but they don’t say so….)

I agree the site is pretty sketchy. Not sure I would give them my credit card info then ship them a set of good wheels.

The site isn’t that bad. They don’t do a good job of explaining that the wheel name (ie – TL28) means that it uses their TL28 rims. If you want specs about the rims, you have to search individually through the rim section.

Sure, they don’t have hub schematics on their site, and they don’t have pics of their tires (you can use your favorite search engine for that), but the products look great and they have a lifetime warranty. Which is pretty rad.

This is a great promotion, and I am seriously considering trading in some old Crossmaxes. However, no one is going to send in wheels for unknown replacements. Hub specs, weight, etc? I’ve heard good things about your rims, but no one buys an unknown items. I couldn’t find specs for the wheels, so that makes it a total no go Pacenti.

This is a weird likely paid for ad. They have nothing in stock. Give them credit card first before they even ship anything? What if they say wheels are to old. Can I send in my mavic wheels from a mid 90’s Marin? Sketchy

Weird that BR put this up. Unless all the hits here took everything out of stock.

Tundra – We do not write paid advertorials. All of our content is stuff we think our readers will think is interesting and is based on its own merits. I think there’s a toll-free number on Pacenti’s website to call and see if your wheels qualify.
