Road riders in need of some new clothes are in luck, as a few of Italy’s garment gurus have recently released some nice looking pieces for your cycling wardrobe. Velocio has just come out with a new lightweight jersey, and Nalini has announced a whole new two sided line of pro-level clothing for warm and cold weather riding.

Both brands are Italian companies whose products are actually made in Italy, where quality and style are typically top priorities. To check out photos and more details, click past the break…

Velocio Stripes Jersey

Inspired by Italian racing cars, the Stripes jersey is designed as a lightweight shirt to keep you cool on hotter days. It features a more relaxed fit than Velocio’s Signature or Classic jerseys, and incorporates a silicone waist gripper to keep it in place. Other details include reflective trim, four back pockets including one that’s water-resistant and zips shut, a low-profile collar and opaque mesh side panels. Velocio also points out that while the fabric is stretchy and very light, it isn’t see-through.

Sizes XS-XL are available, and the Stripes jersey sells for $169.

Nalini’s Black Label Collection uses the same materials, technology and tight fit as the clothing Nalini makes for professional race teams like Cofidis, Columbia and Astana. The collection is split into two lines with different purposes. The Aeprolite line is designed to be extremely lightweight and slim fitting for excellent aerodynamics, and also highly vented to keep you cool in warmer climates. The Nanodry line is comprised of warmer, water-repellent outerwear intended for year round riding in all weather conditions. Nalini offers all their garments in Small-4XL sizes, except the Aeprolite compression bib shorts which go from Small to 2XL.

Aeprolite
The Aeprolite Body Aerosuit is made from five different fabrics strategically placed to ensure a snug, comfortable fit, aerodynamic efficiency and temperature regulation. Nalini claims their fabric on the Coldblack™ treated side panels allows a reduction of body temperature up to 12° C in direct sunlight. The Krono chamois padding is specifically designed and positioned for Time Trial riding. The Aerosuit comes in black, and the MSRP is $405.

The Half Body Suit is the top half of the Aerosuit, with the same aero fit, Coldblack treated side panels and other features aside from legs. If you’re not a one-piece kind of person, just pair the half body suit with the Aeprolite compression bibshorts. The half suit comes in black and suggested retail is $234.

With a snug wind-cheating fit and Nalini’s Krono pad, the Crono Body suit is intended for TT and velodrome riders. The suit is made from Hot Moa X-Light fabric and features mesh ventilation panels, three back pockets, a radio pocket and silicone leg grippers. The Crono Body suit comes in white/black and retails for $278.

The compression bibshorts are also made from Hot Moa X-Light fabric for lightweight breathability, plus they have a breathable mesh back section. For comfort the seams are flat-stitched, anti-abrasive fabric is used in the crotch and Nalini’s Xrace pad is stitched in. The shorts come in black with white straps, and sell for $265.

Nalini aeprolite mesh TI jersey Nalini aeprolite jacket

Nalini’s Mesh TI Jersey delivers unrivalled cooling, while its stretchy fabric comfortably wraps around the shape of your body. The jersey features a full-length front zipper with a cam-lock puller, a silicone waist gripper and three back pockets. The jersey comes in black only and the price is $190.

The Aeprolite Jacket is designed for riding in windy, rainy or otherwise inclement weather conditions. It employs Nalini’s Water Moa X-Light stretchable fabric, and reflective accents to keep you visible. This sleek, technical jacket offers thermos-taped seams, under-arm ventilation, a full front zipper, rear pocket, and a silicone waist gripper. As with the rest of the line, black is the only color choice and the MSRP is $330.

Nanodry
For cooler, wetter conditions the Nanodry Thermal Bibshorts are constructed from fleeced Cold Moa Warm fabric that is treated for water repellency. The shorts provide a slim, aero fit with silicone grippers in the legs and breathable mesh straps. Black is the only color option, and the shorts retail for $168.

The Combi Jacket is actually a short-sleeved jacket that comes with a separate set of matching Nalini Arm warmers. The jacket has a full front zipper, an inside rear pocket and three outside pockets with drain holes to avoid collecting rain. It also features reflective piping on the back and a silicone waist gripper. The jacket comes in fluorescent yellow, and sells for $322.
