Designer, artist, clothing producer, whatever you consider Dustin Klein and his Cadence Collection, it’s always unique. The latest addition to the Cadence collection is quite a bit more subdued than hand painted handlebars or Ritchey Stems, but it still features ubiquitous Cadence style. Called the Pinehurst, the new race fit wind jacket is made to be ultralight while still providing the necessary protection from the elements to keep you from suffering – too much.

Classy jackets, kits inspired by legendary cobbles, and more next…

Crafted with the skill of the finest mullet, the Pinehurst is all business in the front and party in the back. The party is for celebrating the fact that you won’t be soaked in sweat thanks to the ventilation offered from the mesh back panel, while the DWR treated nylon front and elastic cuffs keep wind and light rain from entering through the front. When not in use the jacket stuffs into a small pouch that can be stashed in your pocket or snapped to your saddle.

Other details include a water resistant YKK zipper and reflective details on the chest, sleeves and back. Available now from Cadence for $150, the company also offers essentially the same jacket as a vest for $130. Looking for something a bit more casual? Check out their jeans, too.

PURSUIT CYCLEWEAR

Pursuit Cyclewear is a new cycling clothing company based out of California, but they are taking a new approach when it comes to design. Instead of traditional kit design, Pursuit is letting legendary races and riders take center stage, one kit at a time. To kick off their lycra based story telling, Pursuit is introducing the Pavé kit. A tribute to the cobbled classics of Northern France and Belgium, the design features the 1952 edition of Paris-Roubaix and the battle between Coppi and Rik Van Steenbergen.

Pursuit hopes to bring the legendary stories of cycling to life through cycling wear that is stylish but also unique. Partnering with Castelli for all of their garments, Pursuits webstore will open February 15th, and they will have both men’s and women’s kits available with the same designs and the same price of $235 for the entire kit, or $109 for the jersey and $149 for the shorts. A Sanremo speed suit will also be avaialble for $329.
