Sram-Shifter-Adapter-from-Paul

Paul Components has always been ahead of the curve on adapting drivetrains to various bikes they may not have been compatible with. Whether it be some of their original drivetrain components in the nineties, or leading the charge with Thumbies, they have helped riders with a niche need find the gear to make it work.

Paul has two new shifter adapters ready for release, one for flat bars, one for drops. Pretty exciting for the technologically advanced, this adaptor allows the use of the SRAM trigger shifters on a 31.8 drop bar. Many crossers have a desire to run the wide gear range XX1 10-42 cassette on drop bar bikes. These mount on the 31.8 bulge portion of the bar (next to the stem) and will only be sold as a right side. There are no plans for a left, so the single 22g shifter mount is $41.00.

The other set will adapt Microshift bar end shifters to Thumbies. The Paul Components Microshift Thumbie will allow the use of these shifters on a flat bar, and will be sold as singles or pairs. MSRP for the pair is $74.00 and singles are $39.00. They weigh in at 60g per pair, check out a picture of them by clicking more…

How are these Thumbie adapters different than the ones they’ve been making for years?

Let me know when they make the Lover levers comfortable to use (read: less wide as heck).

Also, Microshift already makes thumb shifters.

@Myke – Those look like Salsa grips. The continuous lettering reads “Adventure by Bike”. I have these on my Salsa Beargrease.
