Rolf Prima Vigor FX limited edition polished silver or matte black track bike wheels

To celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Vigor FX special edition series, Rolf Prima has put out two options for you – polished silver or matte black.

Designed as a track wheel but equally adept on city bikes, the Vigor FX wheels use rims made in house in their Eugene, OR, headquarters with U.S. made hubs and are handbuilt in the USA. They’re pretty limited in supply, and they say some have already snuck outta the building…

here’s hoping they come with either proper track axle nuts or none at all.

“equally adept on city bikes” – I may be a coward, but it does not sound like a good idea to me to tackle cobbles, curbs, potholes and tramway tracks with 20 spokes. Nor to tempt thieves with such unnecessary bling. But I’m sure they’re good on the track 🙂

@Gunnstein – check out our previous review of the Rolf Prima P-Town wheelset. I spent an entire Fall and Winter commuting on them with zero issues. The paired spoke design uses less spokes, but doesn’t end up being weaker. They are under more tension, and having ridden several different wheelsets from Rolf (including CX tubulars) I can verify they work amazingly well.
