Brooks Movember saddle auction (2)

Movember has come and gone, and while a larger portion of the mustaches have gone with it, the Brooks charity auction is still here. Originally announced last week, the auction has been extended until December 12th which means you can still get in your bid for this gorgeous custom B17 saddle. Bidding can be done at the Brooks B1866 store in Covent Garden, or you can email your bid to london@b1866.com with “Movember Saddle Bid” in the subject. All proceeds will benefit men’s health initiatives.

The winner receives much more than just a saddle, details next…

Brooks Movember saddle auction (1) unnamed

Created in a run of just 10 pieces, Brooks will be auctioning off only one of the custom Movember themed saddles in the auction. Sporting the signature Movember blue, the special etching includes a diamond pattern plus the words “Made in Movember.” Of course, there is also a tiny mustache.

Win the auction and you will not only receive saddle (no. 8 of 10), but you also will be the winner of a paid trip for two to the Brooks factory so see the facility that made your very saddle.

So, it’s not really one of a kind at all like the title says, since there are, you know, 10.

…and directly below aforementioned misleading title is a picture with two of them side by side. Ha

Wouldn’t anything handmade be one of a kind since it’s virtually impossible to exactly replicate something done by hand

Technically, even with an automated process using the most advanced technology, it’s impossible to perfectly replicate anything, at least that’s what Heisenberg taught us.

I don’t think the blue works very well.

I think the blues not bad, the right bike would make the difference. However, being so limited i would want to see copper rivetting, i think it would look a lot better on that blue.

That is gonna be one weird, blue-balled mustache ride…
