Specialized Fatboy – The Shred Days of Christmas

Now that the Specialized FatBoy is available in 20 & 24″ wheels, it’s OK for your kid to get fat this Christmas. If you thought wrapping a bike to put under the tree was hard, just wait until you need an entire roll of paper just to cover one tire. Yes, the child sized fat bikes will be available for Christmas provided you have the coin since both models sell for $1,000.

As for the riding? Little ripper Julien Markewitz proves that kids aboard the Fatboy should easily be able to have fun with Mom or Dad on a fat bike, or in this case – Mitch Ropelato. Just don’t roost people with snow or monster truck others’ sand castles, OK?

It was good until the kid ran over someone’s sand castle at the end, showing that they don’t play nicely…

The irony is that this is a Christmas video… Irregardless of the religious element, I would think that Specialized would promote good trail (beach) etiquette 😉

Holy freak’n holidays. Would you guys pull the wad of knickers out of yer arses! The video is for fun . . . for the love of Jebus. If riding a fat bike gets a kid out on a bike having fun then I say it’s a win.

The retail machine will sell plenty of these and specialized continues to feed the demand to buy things that we didn’t know we needed.

Geez people, how many times do people have to tell you. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it! And if you don’t live someplace with long, horrible winters (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan), then you probably aren’t going to get it. And that’s fine. But realize they’re fun for people and their are plenty of people that want to bring their kids out riding with them in the winter.

Most people seem to be wanting to go the other direction of light 20″ and 24″ bikes with light wheels, tires, etc., but hey if it is for downhill and beach riding then I am sure they will sell well. I can’t see a kid being able to pedal this think uphill for any length though.
