Speedsleev started out with elastic tool wraps that would hold a couple small items in a stretchy fabric. From there they grew to include more robust models, and the latest are these two Ballistic Nylon Seatsleev wraps. Available in Large and Small, they’re tailored to mountain or road bike tubes, plus a couple of CO2 canisters, a tire lever and a small tool.

Retail is $40 and $35 respectively, and these do away with the elastic straps in favor of more durable material. Unwrap the inside and new colors below…

The Large size is aimed at mountain bikers and holds a 29er tube -or two road tubes if that’s your style- and that part remains elastic to securely fit any size tube. Sleeves are sized for CO2 canisters, valve extender, lever, and other similarly slim items. There’s not a pocket for traditional minitools, but it’d fit a Presta Ratchet or Fixit Sticks just fine.

The Small size will have an optional white vinyl version.

The new rain cover colors sell for just $5 and wrap around your Seatsleev like a shower cap.

I’d have more peace of mind with items inside a bag as opposed to this sleeve.

I’ve been using the large one on my HT 29er all season. These are great! If you like the minimalistic approach to things this is the ticket, along with the Specialized SWAT tools you’re prepared pretty well. Any ideas on when they’ll come out with a large size rain cover?

Interesting but here in the PNW, this is just essentially a tool to accelerate the corrosion of the steel tools in you’re seat bag.

Thanks for the comments. The large nylon is 99% enclosed and if weather is an issue, simply roll with the rain cover on (which is explained and pictured). Designed and tested in the North East we also have weather to deal with so we made sure the protective covers do the job and they function with the same level of tightness with or without the rain cover installed.

You can’t beat the minimal elastic version for a road bike. Looks great and works perfectly. I wouldn’t mind if they toned down the graphics a bit, but other than that it’s perfect. sotto voce.

The idea is good, and the rain cover is actually a better way to keep stuff dry but the spec shows some definite blind spots.
1. Can you put a mini pump of any size in there, even one of those dinky PDW Silver pumps or a Crank Brothers collapsible pump.
2. If the “large” is intended for mountain bikes why isn’t at least one of the CO2 pockets sized for a Big Air propane canister which is more appropriate for a big fat 29er tire.
3. Where do you put your fold out style multi-tool? I see a Park MT-1 or some Fixit sticks fitting but not a Topeak or Crank Brothers style tool.

Hey Slow. I guess this doesn’t fit your needs… maybe it fits another rider out there who might be interested. Don’t be so critical, these are only bike accessories.

Slow Joe nailed it, why is there no room for my propane and propane accessories?

I really like the speedsleev. It keeps you from carrying more crap than you need.

The “Big Air” propane canister was taken out of production when Slime bought Genuine Innovations a few years back. Is there another version of a propane inflator??

I´ve been using one of the first versions of the Speedsleev for almost two years now. Ten buddies of my club liked it and got one too. It’s one of those little new acessories for the bike, a bit expensive for what it is though, but it’s f#ck@ng brilliant. First thing, it’s not an utterly ugly saddle bag, it’s bad ass like a Gabba jacket or a Bont shoes. It’s all compact, compressed, minimal, and at the same time extremely fast and easy to reach anything. It keeps over 400g out of my jersey; 1CO2 bottle, adapter, a 60g mini pump from ebay, tube, SILICON GLOVES, multi tool with chain cutter, glueless patches, money, a small tube of oil, presta to schrader adapter. It stays in the rails no matter what, the things are a little bit exposed, so it looks like attached to the saddle, not in a bag. It lasts forever, the small version fits a light mtb tube no problem, or even a light tubular if you don’t add anything else, otherwise get the big one.

This an the firsts garmin up front mounts, were my best bike purchases of 2013.
