Hiplock has added two new models to their lineup, the Hiplock Gold and Hiplok DC.

The Gold, shown above in their limited edition Camo cover with orange buckle, ups the diameter of the chain links to 10mm thick hardened steel. That locks into a 12mm shackle, and it all wraps conveniently around your waist while riding with a seatbelt-style strap.

It’s given a top rating by Sold Secure, an independent testing firm. More picks of that and their new DC edition U-Lock below…

The Gold edition is shown in the middle.

Hiplok’s trademark feature is its quick release waist belt style, making it super convenient and easy to use while keeping the weight low on your body.

The Hiplok DC combines a 5mm thick steel cable with their standard U-Lock and nestles it nearly inside the lock for compact transport, even in your hipster jeans waist hoop. The Velcro strap has a reflective strip for added visibility.

Both locks comes with three sets of keys, each coded for easy replacement if you lose them. Retail is $129.99 for the Gold and $89.99 for the DC.

Any word on the MSRP of the gold version? Looks like a competitor to my 1060 Abus Citychain

Did they harden the shackle yet? If not, they are a waste of time…
