Nukeproof’s new Scout is a 150mm travel trail hardtail with their new house-brand dropper seatpost. It’s meant to be a fun bike for those just looking to hit the dirt hard with minimal complications.

The frame is a double welded T6 6061 alloy with box shaped rear triangle and hydroformed front triangle tubes. It’s got a 66º head angle designed for a 150mm travel fork, ISCG05 tabs and a new 3-in-1 dropout system that’ll handle QR, 12×135 and 12×142 rear axles. While it’s getting spec’d with their new post, there’s internal routing for a stealth dropper post from others. Two builds will be available: The Comp spec is €1,950 with SRAM X7 1×10 and the Race spec is full Deore for €1,599.

The dropper post is a cable actuated hydraulic unit branded for them. It’ll have 100mm drop on OEM placements, but aftermarket models will have 125mm. It’s a price point item, letting them offer a dropper on complete bikes at lower total cost. On its own it’s just €225…and basically the same thing we saw at Atomlab’s Taipei booth earlier this year.

The Mega TR gets a Race spec with Deore and their dropper post for €2,399. Above it is a Comp with SRAM 1×10 and Reverb and at the top is the Pro model with the Revelation and Reverb, S%AM Guide brakes and X01.

The Pulse DH bike gets a 10-15mm longer top tube depending on frame size and adds tubeless ready wheels.

Across the range, WTB rims are to be found on most models now, which are all tubeless ready.

I love the idea of the LT hardtail… but my back will most likely b*tch about it.

Free ride hardtail=fun, versatile and inexpensive
Heck, I even saw someone competing in a DH race with one.

Is it foolish to wonder which wheel sizes the bikes have?

@ King County:

Just go to their website, all the details are there.

Wheel size should have been mentioned. I just checked and the Scout is 27.5. Weirdly, there is no mention of the 3 in 1 dropout system. It just says 142mm. But if you are going to have replaceable dropouts like that, they should have done it like Surly and offered a single speed version. Gears (and rear suspension) are for pansies.
