IB13: New Kali Saha Eco-Friendly Recycled Bicycle Helmet

Kali Saha eco-friendly bicycle helmet with corn based shell and recycled eps foam

The new Kali Saha is a half shell urban commute style bicycle helmet that wraps your head in warm, green fuzzies.

The shell is made from corn-based polylactide with a water-based coating to give it a range of fun colors. Underneath, the core is composed of 100% recycled expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam, and the straps are made of 100% natural, non-bleached cotton and flax fabrics. In other words, its made of mostly renewable and/or recycled/recyclable and petrochemical-free materials.

And it’s got all the safety features you’d expect from a lid like this…

All that environmental stewardship doesn’t mean it skimps on safety. There’s washable anti-microbial padding around the forehead and up top, and a dial retention mech in the rear. It meets EN and CPSC safety standards.

I want nothing renewable in my helmet. I want maximum HQ petrochemicals and high tech materials arranged in the best most protective fashion possible.
Ecogeeks are hilarious. I highly recommend they purchase one of these helmets immediately. They will need it when they read the latest reports that AGW is a complete fabrication and they proceed to pound their heads in disbelief as their religion is exposed as a scam.
Haters commence with hating.

“Green” materials are a marketing scam.

• I don’t suppose any of the detractors here have room in their households for disposal/containment of the toxic byproducts of their purchases? Spewing a little bit more than contempt, there.
