The new DT Swiss OPM (One Piece Magnesium) forks use an all new lower that’s stiffer and come with 100/120/140 travel options for all theee wheel sizes, making it their first fork for 27.5″ wheels. (The Torsion Box models are only 26″ and 29″)

Internally, there’s a new Single Shot 2 damping system with improved blowoff during lockout. It uses fewer parts, so it’s more reliable, too. On the other side, there’s a new spring that they say has the perfect spring curve with a coil negative. They worked with Panolin to develop a special oil for the dampers, which can be used in their older forks, too. That means smoother performance, and the fork stays a bit higher in the travel during normal riding. They’ll come out with a carbon crown version soon, too.

The XMM 100/120 comes in at 1510g (26″), 1525g (27.5″) and 1555g (29″), with the 120mm travel versions adding 5g to 55g depending on model. Weights are without skewer. The XMM140/150 comes in at 1570g for both 26″ and 27.5″.

Roll past the break to see the new top-of-the-line carbon Spline One wheels and more…

The lockout remotes get a new Two In One design with a two-stage actuation lever and separate release lever. It moves the damper from fully open to platform to locked on the fork while simultaneously adjusting the rear shock’s compression damping, too.

The new Spline XRC 1250 upgrades from the all-alloy Spline One introduction at Sea Otter to carbon rims and lighter spokes and hubs.

The hub shell is a one-piece machined unit with the trimmed out freehub body. That saves about 15g. The spokes are Aerolite, rather than Competition. The rims are wider, 21.5mm inside / 28mm outside and 20mm deep. Wheelset weights are 1360g for 27.5″ and 1475g for 29er.

2014-DT-Swiss-Spline-XRC1950-tubular-MTB-wheels02

It’s available in a tubular, too, as the XRC950T. Weights are 1115g (26″) and 1255g (29er), rims are 30mm deep and 26mm wide.

2014-DT-Swiss-Spline-EX1750-Freeride-MTB-wheels01

The EX 1750 Spline is a new enduro race wheel that gets a bit wider rim built on the 240s straight pull hubs and a 20mm front axle option. It gets the 6-bolt rotor mounts, too, not CenterLock like most of DT’s wheels. Rims are 21mm inside / 27mm outside, 20mm deep. Weights are 1655g (26″) and 1740g (29er). If we had to guess, a 27.5″ model must be en route.

Across the range, all 2014 mountain bike wheels will ship with tubeless tape and valve stems and all axle options.

The standalone hubs now get pretty much every axle option, too. From left to right, the 350S, 240S and 180 Carbon Ceramic hubs all add 12×142 rear axles.
