Prototype Scott endurance road bike with new Prologo Scratch TR saddle

The ORICA-greenEDGE pro team put several of their riders on a prototype Scott endurance road bike at the Ronde van Vlaanderen (Tour of Flanders).

The bike takes style cues from their existing models, but adds internal cable routing, stouter and straighter fork legs and fairly thin seatstays. The top tube’s angled square shaped girth tapers down as it moves from the headtube to the seat tube, much like the Foil, but it flows a bit more directly into the stays. It has a slightly extended seat tube with traditional collar like the CR1, blending the two into a bike made for the cobbled classics. As proof, the team will use it for this weekend’s Paris-Roubaix.

Look closely at the top photo and you’ll notice ports for cables entering the downtube, but it looks like they’re plugged and the Di2 wiring is ran alongside the brake cable, then likely dropped through the frame.

We’re guessing those are 27.2mm Shimano PRO seatposts, which should add a bit more compliance. The Prologo Scratch Pro TR could be new, too, as that’s not a model currently shown on their website…and the team mechanic says they changed up the cockpit a bit to make it more comfortable. Check the video below for the team’s take on Flanders, pretty cool given the unbiased coverage of the winners and overall scene:

This is not Scott’s endurance bike. This is the prototype Addict. It will be a ultra low weight race frame which will fill the void left by the previous Addict. The CR1 is Scott’s endurance bike.

That low head tube hight has some seasoned pro’s running spacers. Hardly endurance geometry…
